Dr. Tamari is Director at the Institute of Jerusalem Studies, Professor of Sociology at Birzeit University and Visiting Professsor at Georgetown University (CCAS). He is Editor of Hawliyyat al Quds, and Jerusalem Quarterly. He is the author of several works on urban culture, political sociology, biography and social history, and the social history of the Eastern Mediterranean.
